While the new Fremantle mural was taking shape on Goldsborough Street, our Year 11 students Luka and Alex were documenting the story behind the scenes, capturing the teamwork, learning and moments of pride between our students that brought the artwork to life.
Their photographs follow the project from the very first brushstrokes to the final reveal, offering a unique look at the creative process and the joy of making something for the whole community to enjoy.

As an exciting extension to the mural project, Luka and Alex collaborated with Woodsons Arcade to transform their phtography into a public exhibition in the heart of the city. The display includes a QR code that takes visitors directly to the mural site, creating a connected experience that showcases both the final artwork and the story behind it.

This collaboration has given our students the opportunity to share their work in a professional setting, learning how photography can shape community storytelling while strengthening their skills in a real-world context.
To explore both artworks, head to Woodsons Arcade, Fremantle.
This exhibition forms part of the Our Voice, Our Mark project supported by the City of Fremantle, with thanks to Woodsons Arcade for hosting the students phtography exhibition. All images credit to Alex and Luka (Year 11).
