Performing at the 10 Nights in Port Festival

Congratulations to Scarlett (Year 11), whose band recently performed at the 10 Nights in Port Festival in Fremantle. It was a huge milestone for them, playing in the biggest indoor venue they’ve experienced so far. The space looked visually stunning with beautiful lights and staging, and the welcoming staff made it an enjoyable environment all round.

Scarlett’s band played six songs—five originals and a cover of Use Somebody by Kings of Leon. The set also included one of their most loved originals, Stayed Up, which they performed at Telethon last year.

Scarlett also had the chance to enjoy some of the other acts, with plenty of opportunities to connect with other artists, bands and soak up the festival atmosphere.

This performance follows a string of achievements for Scarlett and her band. Earlier this year, they were featured on Triple J Unearthed High Special, came second in the Busselton Battle of the Bands, and released two new singles. They’ve also been shortlisted for Telethon again this November.

In project time at school, Scarlett continues to explore her creative side by designing album covers for the band.

She says one of her favourite moments this year was still playing at Gage Roads, where all her friends came along to cheer her on in front of hundreds of people.

We’re so proud of Scarlett and can’t wait to see where her passion for music takes her!
